People hear the name and assume they know what this bottle does. Replumping. Hair Filler. It sounds like a repair treatment that rebuilds damaged strands from the inside out. So before a single client buys it off our shelf, we like to set the record straight. This is a volumizing, plumping leave-in built to give fine hair more body and hold a style longer. Once you know what it is actually for, it becomes one of the easiest products we recommend behind the chair.
We have been using Replumping Hair Filler Superactive from Davines in our downtown studio at 104 S Capitol Blvd for a while now, and this is our honest read on it.

What it actually is
Strip away the name and you have a body-building leave-in. The formula leans on hyaluronic acid, which draws in and holds water to plump each strand, plus organic Plum Phytoceuticals that help compact and invigorate the hair structure. Davines describes it as a product that replumps the structure of the hair for a fuller, full-bodied result. That is the job. It is not a bond builder and it does not rebuild broken strands, but it does make fine, limp hair feel denser and look thicker the moment you work it through.
How it performs on the chair
The texture is light, almost like water with a little slip to it. A small amount worked through clean, damp hair is all you need, then comb it through and blow dry as usual. On fine hair we have watched it add real body and lift at the root without any greasy weigh-down. The plumping effect is the standout. Hair that usually falls flat by lunchtime holds its shape and fullness much longer. The scent is the signature Davines smell, soft and clean, and it lingers most of the day. Clients comment on it, almost always in a good way.
Why it suits Boise hair
Boise air is dry, and our high desert climate pulls moisture out of hair and leaves it staticky and flat, especially in winter when the heat is running. This is where the formula earns its keep. The hyaluronic acid helps hold water in the strand, so fine hair that usually goes limp and flyaway keeps more body through the day. It also carries a lasting anti-humidity effect, so on those muggy summer afternoons your blowout stays put instead of swelling and falling. For local heads that want fullness that survives the dry winter static and the rare humid spell, it does the job.
The honest drawback
Two things to be straight about. First, the price. At $62 for the 100 ml bottle (3.38 oz) this is a premium spend for a styling leave-in. If you are stretching your budget, there are simpler volumizers that add body for less. You are paying for the Davines formula and the way it lasts, and that is a fair call to make for yourself. Second, it is fragranced. The scent is lovely, but if you are sensitive to fragrance or you react to scented products, this is not the one for you.
Who it is not for
If your hair is genuinely damaged, broken, or over-processed and you want something that repairs the internal structure, this is not your product. It plumps and bodies the strand, it does not rebuild bonds. Pair it with a real reconstructive treatment if that is your situation, and ask us about that during your appointment. We would rather point you to the right product than sell you the wrong one. Same goes for anyone with thick, heavy hair chasing a sleek, weighed-down finish. This is about lift and fullness, not flattening hair down.
Our verdict
For the right hair, this is a quiet little win. Fine hair that wants body without crunch, flat hair that wants lasting fullness, anyone tired of a blowout that collapses by afternoon. It is simple, it works, and it holds up against both the dry Idaho static and the odd humid day. We keep it stocked because we reach for it during real appointments, not because a brand told us to.
