How to Use Love Curl Liter Bundle at Home

If you have curls in Boise, you already know the fight. Our high desert air pulls moisture out of textured hair faster than almost anywhere we have worked, and by mid-afternoon a lot of clients walk into our downtown studio with curls that started soft and ended up frizzy and tired. The Love Curl Liter Bundle from Davines is one of the systems we reach for to fix exactly that, and a lot of guests ask us how to actually use it once they get it home. So here is the routine we teach behind the chair at Sølvi.

What is in the bundle

The Love Curl Liter Bundle is a curl-care system built for waves, spirals, and everything in between. It works on curly, coily, and wavy textures, and it leans on almond and olive extracts to help define the curl shape while hydrating without weighing things down. The liter sizes are the reason we like recommending it for daily curl people. You get the full line in larger bottles, which is what makes the $175 price reasonable when you do the math per wash. We carry the full Davines line on our shelves, and this is one we use in the studio, not just something we stock.

Step one: shampoo with intention

Start in the shower with warm water, not hot. Hot water roughs up the cuticle, and roughed-up curls in dry Boise air are the curls that frizz by noon. Work the Love Curl shampoo into your scalp with your fingertips, focus on the roots, and let the suds rinse through the lengths on their way out. You do not need to scrub the ends. Curly and coily hair tends to run dry near the tips, so over-washing there is the fast track to crunchy strands.

Step two: condition and detangle

Follow with the conditioner from the bundle. This is where the almond and olive extracts do their work, so give them a minute. Smooth the conditioner from mid-length to ends, then comb through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb while the conditioner is still in. Detangling here, with slip and water on your side, means far less breakage than tugging at dry curls later. Rinse with cooler water if you can stand it.

Step three: style on damp hair

This is the step most people rush, and it is the one that decides your whole day. Get out of the shower and keep your hair damp, not dripping and not dry. Take the Love Curl cream, work it through with your hands, and scrunch upward toward your scalp to encourage the curl pattern to clump and form. Do not brush it out. In our dry climate, applying product to damp hair seals hydration in before the air can steal it. Let your curls air dry, or use a diffuser on low heat if you are in a hurry.

Who this bundle is not for

We want to be honest, because not every product is right for every head of hair. This is a curl-defining system. If your hair is straight or very fine with no wave to speak of, the cream can read as heavy and you will not get the payoff the formula is built for. We would steer you toward a different line. And the $175 cost is a real upfront commitment. It pays off over months because the liter sizes last, but if you are not sure curl-specific care is part of your routine yet, start with a smaller size and graduate up. We would rather you buy the right thing than the biggest thing.

Bring your curls in and we will dial it in

Every curl pattern is a little different, and the amount of cream that looks great on a loose wave will weigh down a tight coil. If you are not sure how much to use or which order works for your texture, that is exactly what we are here for. Take a look at our salon services to see what a curl consultation or cut looks like, then book an appointment online. Come see us at our studio at 104 S Capitol Blvd in downtown Boise and we will get your routine sorted for the climate we actually live in.
